Description |
Cauliflower (Brassica oleracea var. botrytis L.) has got an important place among the cole crops and other vegetable crops due to its delicious taste, flavour and nutrition. The popularity of cauliflower has been constantly increasing and now it occupies more area than cabbage in certain regions of the world (Anonymous, 1994). In India area under cauliflower is 2,70,000 hectare of which more than 25 per cent is under Snowball group (Anonymous, 1994). Himachal Pradesh has an area of 605 hectare with a production of about 11,983 metric tonnes (Anonymous, 1995).
