Description Marketing of agricultural produce in hills is an uphill task due to many problems such as low marketed surplus, lack of infrastructural facilitics, well developed markets, difficult terrain and low requirement and purchasing power of local population. However, agriculture and more so agricuitural marketing plays a pivotal role in the socio-economic , transformation of predominently agrarian economy as that of the the hills. The rapid economic growth in hills and prosperity of farmers and population in general in hills cannot be enspred without the rapid development of agricultural markets and marketing facilities.
