Description |
It is a great challenge to decipher the molecular pathways underlying cardiac hypertrophy. Though the adverse effects of glucocorticoids are being studied, the gene Dex-induced hypertrophy Chapter I 56 profile in glucocorticoid induced hypertrophied animals has not been explored so far. So our objective of the work was to identify the genes differentially expressed during glucocorticoid hormone-induced cardiac hypertrophy in order to enhance our knowledge of the mechanistic processes involved. Therefore the present study was undertaken to understand the molecular mechanism of cardiac complications due to excess of glucocorticoid treatment. |
