new dihydroflavonol, plumbaginol, has been isolated from the aerial parts of Plumbago indica and its structure elucidated as 3,5,3’-trihydroxy-6,7-methylenedioxy-8,S’-dimethoxy-2~3R-flavanone by spectroscopic studies.
