Description To Study on production performance of Magra lamb under
different supplementary Feeding in Arid Zone an experiment was
conducted by taking 24 Magra lambs of same age (average 5.5
months) and uniform conformation in a randomized block design and
according to 8 lambs in each divided in three group, T1 group (Control
group) which was kept exclusively on grazing, T2 group (Grazing +
Multi-Nutrient Mixture feed group) and T3 group (Grazing +
Concentrate pellet feed group). The Multi-Nutrient Mixture of 19.6
percent CP was formulated on dry matter basis using ingredients
Wheat Bran 40 parts, Guar Khorma 10 parts, Molasses 40.5 parts,
Urea 4.5 parts, Mineral Mixture 3 parts and Salt 2 part. In T3 group
were offered pelleted concentrate feed (Saras gold) purchase from
Dairy plant having 19.8% CP was fed to meet the requirement of
nutrient.
The effect of supplementary feed were made by determination
of body weight gain, average daily gain, feed conversion ratio and body
conformation, haemato-biochemical parameters, wool characteristics
and lastly economics of the two supplementary feed were worked out.
