Description |
v increase in fertilizer along with FYM lOt hal and seed inoculation of Rhizobium + PSB under soybean- fodder sorghum sequence. The net realization accrued from the treatment combination T7 (i.e .. 75 % RDF + TJ) x F, (i.e., 75 % RDF) in soybean - fodder sorghum sequence was comparable with !hat of obtained under T 7 (i.e., 75 o/.yDF + TJ) x FJ (i.e., 100 % RDF) treatment combination. So, it is evident that with respect to the economy in fertilizer use, a saving of 25 per cent recommended dose of fertilizer (20 kg N -+' 10 kg p,o, ha· l) of succeeding fodder sorghum could be achieved in soybean - fodder sorghum sequence besides the improvement in soil fertility in terms of available Nand P20, which is a valuable gain. Thus, it can be concluded that the farmers following summer soybean - kharif fodder sorghum cropping sequence under Vertisol of South Gujarat are advised to fertilize summer soybean with 75 per cent recommended dose of fertilizers (15,30-0 NPK kg hal) coupled with FYM 10 t hal and seed inoculation of Rhizobium + PSB (30 g kg·1 seed) and succeeding kharif fodder sorghum with 75 per cent recommended dose of fertilizers (60-30-0 NPK kg hal) for profitable production and sustaining soil fertility in long term. |
