Description |
The present investigation entitled "Effect of biofertilizers, GA3 and micronutrients on growth, yield and quality of sapota cv. Kalipatti" was conducted simultaneously at Regional Horticultural Research Station, Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari and Fruit Research Station, Navsari Agricultural University, Ta. Gandevi, Dist. Navsari. - The present investigation was laid out in Randomized Block .' Design including nine treatments comprising Tl i.e. 100% RDF (control), • T2 i.e. 100% RDF + Biofertilizers (Azospirillum + PSB) @ 40 ml/ tree, T3 i.e. 100% RDF + GA3 @ 50 ppm, T4 i.e. 100% RDF + micronutrient mixture Grade 4 @ 0.5%, Ts i.e. 100% RDF + Biofertilizers (Azospirillum + PSB) @ 40 mil tree + GA3@ 50 ppm + micronutrient mixture Grade 4 @0.5%, T6 i.e. 75% RDF + Biofertilizers (Azospirillum + PSB) @ 40 ml/ tree, T7 i.e. )l6stract 75% RDF + GAJ @ 50 ppm, Ts i.e. 75% RDF + micronutrient mixture ..... Grade 4 @ 0.5% and T. i.e. 75% RDF + Biofertilizers(Azospirillum + PSB) @ 40 mil tree + GAJ @ 50 ppm + micronutrient mixture Grade 4 @ 0.5% and replicated thrice. FYM (100 kg I tree) was applied as a basal dose in • June as per the recommendation. As per the treatments soil application of RDF was carried in two equal splits i.e. in June and October. Liquid formulation of Azospirillum and PSB (40 ml eachl tree) applied in the soil in the month of July. Foliar spray of GAJ @50 ppm and micronutrient mixture grade-4 @ 0.5% were applied in the month of November and December respectively. The observations on growth characters, fruit development, yield and yield attributes, physical and chemical properties as well as soil nutrient status after completion of experiment and leaf nutrient status in the month October and March were recorded and analyzed statistically . • The significantly higher yield (t/ hal was recorded under the treatment Ts i.e. 100% RDF + Biofertilizers (Azospirillum + PSB) @ 40 mil tree + GAJ @ 50 ppm+ micronutrient mixture Grade 4 @ 0.5% with highest net returns of ~ 2,60,922 and benefit cost ratio of 4.09 at Navsari location. Whereas, at Gandevi, treatment T9 i.e. 75% RDF + Biofertilizers (Azospirillum + PSB) @ 40 mil tree + GA3 @ 50 ppm+ micronutrient .. II )t6stract mixture Grade 4 @ 0.5% resulted in significantly higher yield (ti hal .... with highest net returns of ~ 3,03,886 and benefit cost ratio of 4.45 in sapota cv. Kalipatti. The pooled results indicated that significantly higher no. of • flower buds/ shoot (12.1), no. of fruit set/ shoot (3.18), fruit length (1.10 cm) in December, no. of fruits/ tree (3065.4), yield/ plant (217.8 kg), yield/ ha (21.8 t), maximum days for ripening (7.40) and shelf life (9.60 days) were recorded under the treatment T9 i.e. 75% RDF + Biofertilizers (Azospirillum + PSB) @ 40 mll tree + GA3 @ 50 ppm+ micronutrient mixture Grade 4 @ 0.5% with highest net returns of ~ 2,82,710 and benefit,' cost ratio of 4.28 in pooled results in sapota cv. Kalipatti. On the basis of pooled results, it can be concluded that highest net returns with higher benefit cost ratio can be "Obtained with application of 75% RDF along with Biofertilizers (Azospirillum + PSB) @ 40 ml per tree and foliar spraying of GA3 @ 50 ppm as well as micronutrient mixture Grade 4 @ 0.5% in sapota cv. Kalipatti. |
