vegetables, flowers, plantation crops, medicinal and aromatic plants, root and
tuber crops accounted for about seven per cent of the gross cropped area but
contribute more than about 20 per cent to gross value of agricultural output.
Horticultural crops have a tremendous potential for fertilizer use. Beside major
nutrients, application of secondary and micro-nutrients is also gaining
importance in nutrient management system. Deficiency symptoms of Iron, Zinc,
Manganese, Molybdenum and Boron have been reported at various places in
various horticultural crops. Thus study has been under taken to find out
