Description 1. All reactions were carried out in oven dried or electrically dried flasks. 2. Solvents and liquid reagents were freshly distilled before use. 3. Additions of liquid reagents were achieved by use of micropipette. 4. The progress of reaction was monitored by thin layer chromatography (TLC). The TLC plates were prepared in laboratory using silica gel of analytical grade and slurry was set in CHCl3. Products were visualized by keeping the dry developed plates in iodine chamber. 5. Solvents were removed under reduced pressure. 6. Infra red spectra (and#651; max in cm-1) were recorded as either KBr pallets or on Shimadzu FTIR spectrometer. 7. NMR spectra were recorded on Brucker AVANCE NMR (400 MHz) instrument in CDC13 or DMSO solution with TMS as an internal standard and the chemical shifts (and#948;) expressed in ppm downfield from TMS. The following abbreviations are used: s = singlet, d = doublet, t = triplet, m = multiplate, bs = broad singlet, dd = doublet of doublet. 8. Mass spectra were recorded on LC-MS model Q-ToF Micro Waters. 9. All the temperatures are in 0 C. All the melting points and boiling points are in 0 C and are uncorrected. Melting points were recorded on VEEGO, Programmable Melting Point Apparatus, Microprocessor based. 10. The elemental analysis was conceded out on Thermo Finnigan, CHNS analyzer. 11. The chemicals used for the synthesis of compounds were purchased from Spectrochem, Merck, Alfa aeser, Avra, Thomas-baker and sd fine chemical. 12. The figures in the square brackets are literature references. 13. All the structures are drawn according to ACS Document 1996 style
