| Abstract | Fresh finfish and shellfish of marine and brackish water origin, collected from the markets situated in and around Cochin, Kerala, India, were examined for the incidence of Vibrio parahaemolyticus . This bacterium was isolated from 51.26% of finfish and 78.57% of shellfish. All the oyster samples were found to be positive for the presence of V. parahaemolyticus . |
