| Abstract | Whale shark, the largest among the living fishes, is an under-exploited fishery resource in our oceans. Fishing for whale shark is a rare phenomenon. In fact, it is through directed fishing that fishermen come across such a catch in Veraval but in other places it is mainly caught as a by-catch in trawl nets, gill nets etc. |
