| Abstract | Although considerable attention has been paid country on the design of trawl nets and their operation, very little work seems to have been carried out on the design aspects of the otter boards. With a view to assessing the optimum height of the bridles of the boards and their angle of attachment which conjointly gives a maximum horizontal opening to the net, the authors conducted experiments with a small sized otter board and the results of these investigations are incorporated in this communication. |
