Relationship between food and health of man has been recognized from time immemorial and the axiom, 'you areĀ· what you eat' has never been proved wrong. But the food habits associated with modern living have been a matter of great concern and the incidence of a number of diseases is attributed to unhealthy food habits. One such well-documented case is the association between the quality and quantity of dietary fat or oil and the diseases like heart diseases, cancer, rheumatoid arthritis etc. |
