| Abstract | An electronic instrument fabricated using indigenously available materials, capable of measuring the angle of attack of otterboards in fishing boats in the range 0-90° with an accuracy of ±1 is described. The instrument consists of an underwater transducer and an electronic indicating unit on board the boat, the two being connected by electric cable. The instrument besides having lower cost (Rs 1000) compared to the conventional instrument is free from, the drawbacks of the latter. |
