| Abstract | The possibility of using sardine oil as a raw material for the preparation of dark factice for use as a filler in rubber compounding has been studied. It has been found that a product resembling commercial factice in respect of physical and chemical characteristics can be produced by treating the oil at 180-200'C. with 20 per cent of elemental sulphur. |
