Established in 1973 by the EEC, the ACP Liaison Committee for the promotion of tropical fruit, off-season vegetables, flowers, ornamental plants and spices, is an interprofessional organization of the EEC/ACP. Its goal is to improve co-ordination between exporters and importers in order to increase the competitiveness of ACP producers in international markets. Thanks to its databank, COLEACP can provide information on the development of supply in ACP countries and demand on foreign markets. It also provides technical assistance covering everything from production to marketing. In addition to its technical and commercial training sessions designed to familiarize exporters with European practices, it develops and implements marketing campaigns to increase demand by European consumers.
