A symposium on 'Integrated Pest Management in Tropical and Subtropical Cropping Systems' is to be held from February 8-15 1989 in Bad Durkheim, Federal Republic of Germany. This will be one of the series of international conferences organized by the German Agricultural Society DLG. CTA will be cooperating in the organization of the symposium together with major West German agencies and research institutes involved with the subject and with agricultural development in the Third World. All topics will be dealt with in separate English and French-speaking working groups and the findings of the working groups will be consolidated with the aid of simultaneous translation towards the end of the conference. All interested experts and specialists with relevant experience are invited to send in their written contributions as soon as possible.
