Description Stylosanthes guyanensis is a leguminous forage plant that is particularly easy to grow and highly favoured by livestock Requiring little maintenance or input, this plant is ideal for improving pastures or even for monocultures. Furthermore, when grown in pastures, it also increases soil fertility.

Extensively studied in Cote d'lvoire, this grass has also been tested in Gabon and Cameroon in intercropping with fruit trees and livestock grazing. It showed itself to be a useful cover crop for orchards. Originally from South America, Stylosanthes 9 rows in areas receiving more than 800 mm of rain per year on a variety of soils, even those with poor fertility.
