Description A three week course on 'Legumes in Tropical and Subtropical Cropping Systems' is to be organized by the University of Hohenheim, West Germany, commencing January 9, 1989. This interdisciplinary course will present and discuss recent developments and research results on tropical and subtropical legumes, particularly nitrogen fixation issues, integration into cropping systems and aspects of production, harvesting and marketing.



The course will be conducted in English and is suitable for development professionals holding a university degree in agriculture or agricultural economics with substantial experience in development work. Limited funding is available for participants from developing countries. The course is to be partly financed by CTA.
