In response to continued demand, Earthscan Publications have re-issued Christine Prescott-Allen's 'Genes from the Wild'. Wild genetic resources can greatly increase yields of conventional crops, and also their resistance or tolerance to drought, salt and disease. However, many wild genes are threatened by over-exploitation and other hazards.
