The demand for dairy products in developing countries is on the increase, and it is in everybody's interest to increase both production and conservation practices. To further this aim a Small-Scale Dairy Technology Group (SDTG) has been founded in the Netherlands. SDTG aims to provide guidance and support in developing dairy farming systems. It will do this by means of an Inquiry Service (question and answer) available to organizations and individuals in Third World countries; by Information Support on periodicals, articles, organizations, or products; and by Project Support, giving actual support to small-scale dairy farming and milk-processing projects by means of continued contact with SDTG or one of its experts.
