Two years ago, FAO ceased publication of their bulletin Ideas and Action. The decision provoked hundreds of letters of protest and so a number of readers and supporters joined with members of the former Ideas and Action team to fill the gap. From the ashes has arisen Fenix (Phoenix) and a pilot issue, of what is hoped will be a regular publication, was brought out in 1990. The emphasis of the publication is on ordinary men and women, on group and community self-learning and action. Fenix is being distributed in English, French and Spanish.
