Description AGROTEC Newsletter

The Agricultural Operations Technology for Smallholders in East and Southern Africa (AGROTEC) started to operate in October 1989. The AGROTEC region comprises Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Lesotho, and the regional office is in Harare.

In January 1991 AGROTEC brought out their first edition of their newsletter, which will be published twice a year and distributed free. The news will serve all in

AGROTEC programmes by reporting on recent activities and on-going projects and will give information on forthcoming activities. It will also provide donors, institutions, outside contacts and individuals with updated information on the progress of AGROTECS's development work in the areas of mechanization and transport, rural structures, crop processing and on-farm energy. The bulk of the written material will come from the National Coordinators Project Leaders and staff at the regional office, but contributions from others will be welcomed.
