16 January?11 March 2000, Wageningen, The Netherlands This interactive course on alternative approaches in fisheries management is based on the working situation of the participants. The first phase covers such issues as distinction of stakeholders, problem perception, world fish stocks, and price development. In the second phase, participants gain insight into various management approaches, international agreements and the role of law, research, and information flows. In the final phase, participants work on new scenarios. At least three years of relevant experience in fisheries management is required.
