Description The CGIAR Research Program (CRP) on ―Integrated Agricultural Production Systems for Improved Food Security and Livelihoods in Dry Areas (Dryland Systems, initially known as CRP 1.1) targets the poor and highly vulnerable populations of the dry areas. It aims to develop technology, policy, and institutional innovations to improve food security and livelihoods using an integrated systems approach. Developed from the CGIAR Strategy and Results Framework‘s (SRF) Thematic Area 1, ―Integrated Agricultural Systems for the Poor and Vulnerable, CRP 1.1 addresses each of the CGIAR System Level Outcomes (SLOs), and builds on past achievements by CGIAR Centers and their partners.
This latest version of the proposal presents a transformation process in which the partners establish an agenda for action as a basis for knowledge-based development. It will serve to establish a research and development portfolio that pursues a common vision and will guide the CGIAR Centers in the activities that they will pursue in the future.
