This survey protocol for the Focus Group Discussions (FGD) was developed to assess the diversity of nutritious local foods vs imported foods in Niger, West Africa. The aim of the FGD is to retrieve informations upon (a) the biodiversity of the production system (b) the alimentar variety (c) the biodiversity of species, products sold and markets available. This protocol was developed under the Dryland Systems programme to assess crop, tree and animal breeds diversity and management in Niger, West Africa
