Description |
The presentation documents the study carried in Tunisia on responses of sheep and goat under different physiological status to water restriction and salinity. Water scarcity and salinization are challenging the efficiency and the sustainability of production systems in the dry areas. This is exacerbated by the global warming. Therefore, options should be identified to reduce crop yield gap and to improve livestock water productivity through the increase of water-use efficiency of feed production and better use of drinking water.
