Bimrew Asmare graduated from Jimma University, Ethiopia with a PhD in Animal Nutrition in June 2016. He was partially sponsored by CRP L&F. He investigated the agronomic, utilization, nutritive and feeding value of desho grass (Pennisetum pedicellatum) in North-western and Southern Ethiopia. This study was undertaken under the supervision of Solomon Demeke (Prof.) and Taye Tolemariam (PhD) from Jimma University, Firew Tegegne (PhD) from Bahir Dar University & Tottori University and Jane Wamatu (PhD) from ICARDA, leading to the production of several research outputs.
