Description The data describes status and progress in CIP’s potato cryobank from 2013-16. The accessions' recovery and survival rates were analysed by species/subspecies, ploidy level, and country of origin to determine factors that affect the success rate. Additionally, it includes the results of a large-scale viability reassessment of 857 potato accessions, conserved for 1–2 yr in liquid nitrogen, and an assessment of the influence of the human factor on survival and recovery rates (+LN).
