Description |
Evergreen Agriculture combines agroforestry (trees on farm) with the principles of conservation Agriculture (minimum tillage, crop rotations/associations and maximum soil cover). It is emerging as an affordable and accessible science-based solution to caring better for the land and increasing smallholder food production. This project aims to improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers in eastern (Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda) and southern Africa (Lesotho) while sustaining the natural resource base, through promotion of Evergreen Agriculture. |
