Description Chromis caeruleus, a resident reef fish on live ramose corals forming a
dominant component in lagoons through-out Laskhadweep, is an important livebait
for tuna. The species is diurnal in habit and is an active zooplankton feeder.
Analysis of the gut contents reveals little selectivity in feeding.
