Description |
Parapenaeopsis stylifera was reared from the egg to the postlarval stage in the Narakkal labor atory. It passes through 6 naupljus substages, 3 protozoea substages, and 7 mysis substages before reching postlarva I. At the rearing teiiparature of 25.6°C to 27.7°C the nauplii hatch out from theegg 15 to 16 hours after spawning; the duration of the nauplius stage is 40 to 50 hours: the protozoea stage lasts for 4 i to 7 days, and the larvae remain in the mysis stage for 10 to 16 days before becoming postlarva I.
