At the recent CGIAR Livestock Fish Mega Program consultation, we asked Joachim Otte from FAO to elaborate on the notion of a value 'web' as opposed to a value chain. He used an example from duck production in Vietnam to illustrate the breadth of this notion. He was speaking in the margins of the CGIAR Livestock Fish Mega Program stakeholder consultation meeting in Addis Ababa, 24 and 25 August 2010.
