Description |
The Sun is the closest star to us. Therefore it provides the best opportunity for studying stellar magnetic field and other properties of stars. The solar wind affects the Earth and is therefore necessary to study in detail. When the line-of-sight of pulsars goes close to the Sun, the effects of the magnetic field in the solar wind can be clearly seen in pulsar observations. Here we will use observations of radio pulsars to make direct measurements of the magnetic fields and the electron density in the solar wind.
