Description |
A telescope in Western Australia (the Murchison Widefield Array) has been used to identify unusual radio sources. We are currently not sure exactly what these sources are, but they have properties similar to a type of collapsed star known as a radio pulsar. We plan to use the Parkes telescope - which is renowned for discovering pulsars - to observe these sources and determine whether or not they actually are pulsars.
