Last year an exciting discovery was made. A new pulsar, called J0941-39, was detected with Parkes Telescope, and seems to be two pulsars in one: sometimes it looks like a normal pulsar, but then suddenly changes into a "rotating radio transient", where it emits only one pulse every few minutes! This pulsar may be the key to understanding why pulsars sometimes turn off, and we hope to observe its emission characteristics to find out why it has such strange properties.
