| Description |
We will be surveying the Large Magellanic Cloud in order to detect radio pulsars that have spin periods on the order of milliseconds. None of these pulsars have been detected in the LMC so far, and they only make up a small portion of the pulsar population of our own Galaxy. If we are successful in detecting one or more of these pulsars, not only will that be a first, but we will be able to more accurately compare the pulsar populations of the LMC with the Milky Way.
