| Description |
Millisecond pulsars in globular clusters are magnificient tools for studying various properties of this kind of very dense and very old (typically more than 10 billions years) stellar systems, including from hundreds of thousands to millions of stars. The aim of this project is to search for additional millisecond pulsars in 20 globular clusters in the southern sky. Besides allowing us to measure the properties of these 20 clusters, this search could lead to the discovery of still elusive but potentially very intriguing kinds of binary systems, like those including two millisecond pulsars or one millisecond pulsar and a black-hole.
