Description |
We are searching for two types of signals in this project. We are using pulsars to search for gravitational waves, a type of energy that Einstein predicted would exist, but no-one has seen yet. At the same time, we are searching bursts of radio waves thought to originate billions of light years away. Only a half dozen have been seen and not a lot is known about them. If this project is succesfull, it shows how we can get a "two-for-one deal" from the Dish: two exciting scientific results at the same time!
