| Description |
The Canis Major dwarf galaxy is an overdensity of stars that may well be our nearest neighbour galaxy. It is in the process of being torn apart and absorbed into our own Galaxy, but its core remains intact. We are searching the core of this galaxy for a population of recycled pulsars, objects which can be used to test General Relativity.
