Description |
Out of the two crops raised in a year, the summer crop from February/March onwards was continued upto August/September covering a maximum of six to seven months and the next crop started from September onwards could be limited to four to five months, because of the prevalence of conducive environmental factors. Maintenance of phytoplankton bloom in the rearing ponds by manuring the water, forms an important aspect in prawn culture.
