Description |
This database includes the research work carried out on phenotypic evaluation of Pearl millet seed parents designated in 1981 to 2004. The 99 A-lines in three diverse cytoplasmic backgrounds (63 A1, 35 A4 and 1 Aag), and their counterpart B-lines were planted in a split-plot design, with 48 genotypes as main plots and two cytoplasms (fertile vs sterile) as sub-plots, in two replications during the 2005 post-rainy (dry) season (January - May : Environment 1) and rainy season (July - October : Environment 2) at ICRISAT, Patancheru (18º N lat; 78º E long.). The agronomic data (Plant height and time to flowering) of the progenies evaluated were presented herewith. The trial details and plot sizes were given. This data helps us to select and use the particular seed parent for breeding for specific zone of Pearl millet. Experiment location on Google Map |
