Description |
This dataset has information about molecular diversity in a set of 336 genotypes of the genomic selection training population (GSTP) comprising 223 individuals from ssp. fastigiate and 113 from ssp. hypogaea were performed with 14 SSR markers linked to rust, late leaf spot (LLS), oil and protein content. Genomic DNA was isolated from all the genotypes using a procedure based on CTAB extraction buffer. Polymerase chain reactions were performed in 96 and 384-well plates in a GeneAmp PCR system PE 9700 (Applied Biosystems, USA) DNA thermal cycler. PCR amplification was checked on 1.2% agarose gels and PCR products were separated by capillary electrophoresis on an ABI3730xl sequencer and their sizes were determined using GeneMapperĀ® Version 4.0 software (Applied Biosystems, USA). The true SSR alleles were scored for each genotype were used for assessment of molecular diversity in the population.
