Description |
This large-sized tonguesole is widely distributed in the Western Indian Ocean, primarily in shallow nearshore waters. It is taken in a variety of nearshore fisheries, typically incidentally, but when taken is marketed. No data are available on the population size or trends; however, this is not thought to be a major threat at this time. Therefore, it is listed as Least Concern. |
