| Description |
This species is sometimes referred to in the literature as Cynoglossus ecaudatus (e.g., Menon 1977, Yokogawa et al. 2008). Cynoglossus natalensis, described from off Natal, South Africa, is considered a junior subjective synonym of C. acaudatus by Menon (1977). Cynoglossus hunteri, described from Point Vermetha, Mozambique, was also placed in synonymy of C. acaudatus by Menon (1977). |
