Summary, etc. |
A series of mixed ligand lanthanide complexes of general formula [Ln(PhenQ)(L1-3) (NO3)2(H2O)x] [ where, Ln = Nd(III), Dy(III) and Yb(III), x = 0 for Yb, <strong>1</strong> for Dy and <strong>2</strong> for Nd] derived from 9,10-phenQ and Schiff bases (L1-3H) [where, L1H = <em>(E)-2-methoxy-6-((thiazol-2-ylimino) methyl) phenol, </em><strong>L2H</strong> = <em>(E)-4-(2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzylidineamino) benzoic acid </em>and <strong>L3H</strong> <em>= 2-((p-tolylimino) methyl) phenol </em>] containing N, O donor atoms. These metal complexes are characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV-vis, TGA analysis, PXRD and ESI-Mass spectrometry. Surface morphology of above complexes were analysed by SEM-EDX and resembles like stone. The metal complexes of Nd and Dy are found to be ten coordinated whereas metal complex of Yb is found to be eight coordinated which was tentatively proposed by spectroscopic techniques. |
