Summary, etc. <p style="text-align: justify;">The trivalent cobalt complex, [Co(HL)<sub>2</sub>](OAc).H<sub>2</sub>O (<strong>1</strong>) [H<sub>2</sub>L = <em>N</em>-(2-hydroxyethyl)-3-methoxysalicylaldimine], behaves as an effective catalyst towards oxidative dehydrogenation of <em>o</em>-aminophenol to 2-aminophenoxazine-3-one in aerial oxygen. The reaction follows Michaelis-Menten enzymatic reaction kinetics in methanol with turnover number (<em>K</em><sub>cat</sub>) = 2.83×10<sup>4</sup> h<sup>-1</sup>.</p>
