Title	2017 ICARDA Chickpea Chilling Tolerance FIGS Subset

Description	The low temperature FIGS set contains 100 chickpea accessions. This set was created using the Focused Identification of Germplasm Strategy FIGS (http://figs.icarda.org). Daily minimal temperature and precipitation combined with onset information were used for this process. An index was computed using mean and StDev of minimal temperature, the number of days and consecutive days with low minimum temperature. We applied a filtering approach by using a threshold for the index to select environments that are likely to have imposed a selection pressure for chilling tolerance on in situ populations over time. Furthermore, WorldClim data was used to maximize the climatic diversity within this set. FIGS_ILC_Chilling_2017 is the name of the FIGS subset including the crop, trait name and the year of construction.
