Description |
The FIGS_ILL_reproductiveHeat_2017 FIGS set was created using the Focused Identification of Germplasm Strategy FIGS (http://figs.icarda.org). Daily minimal and maximal temperatures combined with onset information were used for this process. An index was computed for the reproductive lentil period using mean and StDev of minimal and maximal temperatures, the number of days and consecutive days with maximum temperature above 30 degrees Celsius. We applied a filtering approach by using a threshold for the index to select environments that are likely to have imposed a selection pressure for low temperature tolerance on in situ populations over time. Furthermore, WorldClim data was used to maximize the climatic diversity within this set. FIGS_ILL_reproductiveHeat_2017 is the name of the FIGS subset including the crop, trait name and the year of construction.
