Description	The FIGSICBFrost2017 FIGS set was created using the Focused Identification of Germplasm Strategy FIGS (http://figs.icarda.org). Daily minimal temperature and precipitation combined with onset information were used for this process. An index was computed using mean and StDev of minimal temperature, the number of days and consecutive days with a minimum temperature below 0 degrees Celsius. We applied a filtering approach by using a threshold for the index to select environments that are likely to have imposed a selection pressure for low temperature tolerance on in situ populations over time. Furthermore, WorldClim data was used to maximize the climatic diversity within this set. FIGSICBFrost2017 is the name of the FIGS subset including the crop, trait name and the year of construction.
